# Activate Your License

> Enter your Superwhisper Pro license key on macOS, Windows, or iOS. Includes steps to recover a lost license key.

After purchase, your license key arrives by email from superwhisper.com. Enter it once per device — the same key works on macOS, Windows, iPhone, and iPad.

    **From a Mac (QR code):**

    1. On your Mac, open Superwhisper's settings and click the **Superwhisper** button (bottom-left) to show your license details and the mobile activation QR code
    2. Scan the QR code with your iPhone or iPad

    **From Windows, or manually:**

    1. Find your license key (Windows app settings, or your purchase email)
    2. On your iPhone, open Safari and enter:
       ```
       superwhisper://license/YOUR-KEY
       ```
    3. Tap **Open** when prompted

    **Or type it in:** open the Superwhisper iOS app → **Settings → Superwhisper Pro** → enter your key.

      Bought Pro inside the iOS app? Your key is at **Settings → Superwhisper Pro → Reveal License Key**. Use it to activate Mac and Windows.

## Find or recover a lost license key

1. **Search your email** for a message from `superwhisper.com` — check spam and promotions folders, and every address you might have used at checkout
2. **Bought on the App Store?** Open the iOS app → **Settings → Superwhisper Pro** → **Recover my License Key**
3. **Still nothing?** Email [support@superwhisper.com](mailto:support@superwhisper.com) with the receipt or the email you purchased with, and we'll resend your key

## Activation troubleshooting

**The QR code won't scan.** Copy your key on the Mac (double-click it — you'll see "Copied to clipboard"), then open `superwhisper://license/YOUR-KEY` on your iPhone in Safari.

**The app still shows a trial after I entered my key.** Check for extra spaces, keep the uppercase lettering, and make sure you're entering the key emailed by superwhisper.com — not an order number. If it still fails, email [support@superwhisper.com](mailto:support@superwhisper.com) with your key and purchase email.

**App Store purchase not recognized.** Open the iOS app → **Settings → Superwhisper Pro** → **Recover my License Key**. This re-checks your App Store purchase and reactivates the subscription.

**On a company (Enterprise) license?** Your admin sends an invite or activation link — see [Enterprise member setup](/docs/enterprise/member-management). To move a device off an org, use **Unlink device** in the license panel.
