About Superwhisper

Superwhisper is a voice to text app that's private, fast, and beautifully designed.
We are building state-of-the-art technology that works entirely offline while maintaining high performance and reliability.
All of this while respecting the user's privacy and data ownership.

We're looking for a talented macOS / iOS Developer with a sharp eye for user experience and an interest in building the best apps for private artificial intelligence.

About the role

Great design and solid engineering are essential to what we're making. You'll work on features that make the most of what Apple devices can do.
You'll work directly with me πŸ‘‹ Β Neil and our team on design choices and technical decisions.

The role is flexible on location, but we have an office in 🍁Toronto, Canada and align around Eastern Standard Time. Ideally you're based in πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦Canada or πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈUnited States, but we're open to remote candidates as well.

You will be
  • Building the Superwhisper macOS / iOS applications
  • Researching and doing proof of concept implementations for experimental features
  • Owning your features into production
  • Pushing the limits of what Apple will allow us to do on the platforms
  • Bringing design and UX to best-in-class levels
  • Optimizing application performance and resource usage
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience developing macOS or iOS applications
  • Proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI and related frameworks
  • Good design instincts & strong ability to implement
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice-to-haves
  • AppKit experience
  • Obj-C/C++/C experience
  • CoreML & Metal experience
  • Reverse engineering experience
