As Superwhisper is designed to process audio data locally on your device, we do not collect any audio recordings, transcriptions, or personally identifiable information (PII) when you use Superwhisper. This is in line with our commitment to data minimization as required by GDPR and other data protection regulations.
We do not collect any usage data when you use Superwhisper. We respect your right to privacy and do not track or log your usage of Superwhisper in any way.
We take the security of your personal information very seriously. Since Superwhisper processes all audio data locally, there is no need for data transmission. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure of your information. However, no method of data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of any information you provide through Superwhisper as the files do get saved to your device.
Under the GDPR and the CCPA, you have certain rights relating to your personal data. As we do not collect any personal data through Superwhisper, most of these rights will not apply. However, if we ever begin to process personal data, you have the right to be informed about the collection and use of your personal data, the right to access the data we hold about you, and the right to have your data deleted or restricted under certain circumstances.
If you feel that your rights have been violated and we have not adequately addressed your concerns, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the European Union, this would be the data protection authority in the country where you reside.
