AI/Machine Learning Engineer
Superwhisper is a voice to text app that's private, fast, and beautifully designed.
We are building state-of-the-art technology that works entirely offline while maintaining high performance and reliability.
All of this while respecting the user's privacy and data ownership.
We're looking for a talented AI/ML Engineer interested in accelerating private, local usecases for AI.
You'll be at the forefront of developing and improving our speech recognition technology, working on cutting-edge ML models and algorithms.
You'll work directly with me 👋 Neil and our team on design choices and technical decisions.
The role is flexible on location, but we have an office in 🍁Toronto, Canada and align around Eastern Standard Time. Ideally you're based in 🇨🇦Canada or 🇺🇸United States, but we're open to remote candidates as well.
- Developing and improving speech recognition & language models
- Implementing and testing new language support features
- Working with large datasets to train and improve models
- Collaborating with me and other engineers to train, test, host and integrate models
- Researching and implementing state-of-the-art techniques in speech recognition
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning, particularly in speech recognition
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
- Familiarity with deploying AI models in production environments
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Experience with CoreML, Metal, Obj-C, C/C++ for iOS/macOS deployment
- Experience with training and fine tuning generative AI models
- Contributions to open-source projects
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
