iPhone
A dictation keyboard for every app on your iPhone.
Talk, and clean text appears where you're typing.
Built in
Every iPhone has dictation on the keyboard. It's free, needs no setup, and is fine for a short text or search. If that covers what you do, you may not need another app.
Superwhisper adds custom vocabulary for names and jargon, AI modes that clean up what you said, and a choice of models. See the full breakdown in Superwhisper vs Apple Dictation.
How it works
Superwhisper for iPhone installs as a keyboard, so it works in Messages, Mail, Notes, Slack, and any app that opens a keyboard. Setup takes a minute: enable the keyboard in iOS Settings, turn on Allow Full Access, and allow the microphone.
AI modes shape the text for what you're writing, and a custom vocabulary helps with names and jargon.
Offline
You can download speech models that run on the phone, including Parakeet, Whisper, and Cohere. That keeps dictation working without a connection and keeps audio on the device. Cloud models are there when you want the best accuracy and have signal.
