Why choose Superwhisper

Keep your meeting under your control

Superwhisper saves the recording, transcript, and notes on your Mac. Select local speech and language models to process the call offline, including speaker separation.

Fathom stores meetings in its cloud workspace and uses cloud AI processors. It offers custom retention on Enterprise, but does not list a fully local transcription and summary option.

Record without a participant bot

Superwhisper captures microphone and system audio from the apps you use on your Mac. Start a recording in Zoom, Meet, Teams, or Slack and keep the audio for playback.

Fathom offers a bot and bot-free capture in beta on Mac. Windows bot-free capture is limited to a Microsoft Teams alpha. Its bot can attend a call without you.

Write the follow-up in the same app

Superwhisper includes system-wide dictation with Meetings. Finish a call, open your email app, and dictate the follow-up using your preferred model and mode.

You can export the summary, create a share link, or open Slack or Notion and drag in the note. Fathom adds clips, playlists, trackers, CRM field sync, deal views, and scorecards for teams that need sales coaching.

One subscription for meetings and dictation

Superwhisper Pro costs $8.49 a month or $84.99 a year. It includes local and cloud models, custom modes, file transcription, and Meetings on Mac.

Fathom has a free plan with unlimited recordings and transcription. Premium is $16 per user/month, Team is $15, and Business is $25, billed annually. Team and Business require at least two seats.
