Make the switch
A name, a number, a decision: sometimes you need to hear it again. Superwhisper saves the recording next to your transcript and notes on your Mac.
Granola does not store meeting audio. You can review its transcript, but you cannot play back the call to check what was said.
Choose local speech and language models in Superwhisper to transcribe, separate speakers, and write a summary on your Mac. You can also choose cloud models or, on Enterprise, a compatible private language model endpoint.
Granola uses cloud providers for transcription and summaries, and stores transcripts and notes in its US-hosted cloud. Its paid plans offer model selection for cross-meeting chat.
Superwhisper exports summaries as Markdown, creates share links, and connects your meeting library to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP apps. Open Slack or Notion and drag in the summary.
Granola adds shared folders, cross-meeting chat, Recipes, and integrations including Notion, HubSpot, Attio, Affinity, and Zapier. Its mobile apps are useful for in-person meetings away from your Mac.
Superwhisper Pro costs $8.49 a month or $84.99 a year. It includes Meetings on Mac and dictation on Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android with the same license.
Granola Basic is free with access to the most recent 30 days of meetings. Business costs $14 per user/month for unlimited history; Enterprise costs $35 per user/month. Granola also offers free voice typing in beta on Mac.
